COLIN FILLINGHAM "Club Person of The Year"

This HFH award commenced its history in season 2001/2002 and was known as the Colin Fillingham Memorial Cup Winners (Team Award).

This award is in honour of Colin Fillingham, who died so tragically in 2001 following an injury during a rugby match in Manchester.

The HFH individual selected each season for this trophy is a HFH person who, in the eyes of the team coaches/managers have given their all for the good of the HFH Club.  This could be a player or volunteer.

Originally this memorial trophy was awarded on a yearly basis to an individual whose performance was rated as 'the best' in 7-a-side competitions. 

Unfortunately no records remain of previous individual winners.

With the decline of 7-a-side competitions, history shows that the criteria surrounding the trophies presentation changed from that of an individual award, to that of a HFH team award.

In 2003/2004 the trophy was presented to the HFH Under 12's team,who were coached and managed by
Dave O'Brien and Paul Hulme.

In 2003/2004 the trophy was presented to the HFH Under 12's team.

Unfortunately history records once again were not retained, and it was only the HFH Under 12's
who were recorded as having won this award.

The HFH Clubs Accreditation status has revitalised the Colin Fillingham Memorial Cup Winners (Team Award) and therefore it has been resurrected.

Once again criteria selection has changed.

COLIN FILLINGHAM "Club Person of The Year" award.

Voted for by the coaches/managers of all the HFH teams.

Its presentation will go to an HFH individual voted for and selected.

The HFH team coaches/managers will decide on that!
